This first year has been very exciting for As-Salam Mosque as we were able (praise be to Allah) to establish the first mosque in the golden core of downtown Montreal. In less than a year the number of people praying in the mosque went from literally zero to about 550 people every Friday. More than 200 people are coming to pray at the mosque daily. We were also able to offer a daily Iftar during Ramadan for more than 200 people every day. In Sha’Allah, with continuous support from charitable and engaged individuals such as yourself, we can make 2012 a landmark year in our sustained efforts to expand the mosque services for all Muslims living, working, or studying in downtown.
